Karst T. Geurs
is Full Professor of Transport Planning and chair of the Transport Systems Cluster at the Department of Civil Engineering and Management, Faculty of Engineering Technology, University of Twente, the Netherlands. His research focuses on accessibility analysis and modeling, land-use and transport interactions, travel behavior research, transport policy evaluation and sustainable transport. In 2006 he received his PhD (cum laude) at the Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht University, the Netherlands, on accessibility appraisal of land-use and transport policy strategies. He has an H-index of 23 in Scopus with 90 publications, including four edited books, and over 3,500 citations. He is president of the Network of European Communications and Transport Activities Research (NECTAR – www.nectar-eu.eu) since 2014 and Editor-in-Chief of the European Transport Research Review (a Springer Open Access journal) since 2017.
